We had Office 2000 and Outlook 2003 installed on Windows XP Professional
workstations. I checked to remove the Office 2000 applications and kept
Outlook 2003 (then selected not to install Outlook 2007) when installing
Office 2007. Now, when the user RECEIVES emails, they get the dialog box,
"Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Professional Plus
2007." It runs and then disappears and the email messages are received. I
uninstalled Office 2007, reinstalled Outlook, but to no avail. Even letting
the configuration run the first time does not keep it from running every time
the user is receiving an email.
How can I get rid of this configuration dialog box that appears when a user
is trying to RECEIVE emails?
