Hi Jonas,
Glad you posted your message. You certainly do *not* have to be an MVP to
post messages in these newsgroups. The MVPs are just volunteers, so it's
really important that everyone be made to feel welcome to post solutions to
problems that are posted. The more people who engage, the better this entire
process works.
As for Julie's problem, if Jona's suggestion doesn't fix things, try this
(assuming you still have a Tools menu). Choose Tools > Customize. Select
the "Menu" item in the dialog box and click the "reset" button. Then click
OK. This should restore the menu to its "factory" settings.

Hello, Julie:
I am not an MVP or Microsoft support person, but a similar thing happened to
me the other day (although I think I might have lost all menus).
If I recall correctly, all I had to do was to quit Word and start it up
again. But I suppose you already tried that.
(And of course you already know that you can use command (= Apple key) + Q
to quit when you cannot access the "Quit" menu command in the File menu.)

I am running Office v.X on an iBook w/ OSX 10.2.8.
When using Word the "File" menu does not appear in the
Finder bar. This means I am unable to easily access
commands such as "Save As", "Page Set-Up", "Print...", etc.
Is it possible to make the "File" menu appear in the
Finder menu?
Please help me out, I need Word to work!!!
All the best,
Julie
