PLEEZE HELP Need to restore 2000

My hard drive crashed and has to be restored. I have my disks for Office
2000, but have lost the registration code. Am I out of luck? Gateway says
they can't help... Is there some way to find out what the code was? Is there
a "skeleton key" type code? I really don't use office enough to invest in a
new program ...

Call your local Microsoft branch for what can be done about lost stuff.

If you lost your HP or Dell computer, whatever, would you expect HP or Dell to
replace it?
