Plot Background

Mike

Hi.

I want to use a picture as the backround for a chart, but
I do not want it "stretched." When I click on fill
effects and select the picture, it defaults to stretch and
my other options (Stack and Stack/Scale) are greyed out.

How can I select these other options?

Thanks,
Mike.

Mike,

Hmm, so it doesn't. Here's a klutzy workaround, but it might be suitable.
It's called DIY. :)

Put the pic in back of the chart (right-click - Order - Send backward). Set
the chart area and plot area to no fill so you can see the pic in back. Use
the picture toolbar to size and crop the pic until it's the same shape as
your chart. Then group the pic and the chart, so they'll stay together:
Select the pic and the chart (probably easiest with the Select Objects tool
(white arrow on Drawing Toolbar) -- and don't forget to turn it back off,
now drag a select box around them), then right-click - Group.
