Hi
I've encountered a problem whilst trying to import an
excel spreadsheet into the "scrapbook" of my genealogy
program Family Tree Maker, and was hoping someone here
might be able to help.
Basically, after importing a file (in this case an .xml
file) into the Scrapbook section of FTM, a link is
created. However, when I click the link, I get this error
message:
"The server application cannot be found. Make sure the
application is properly installed, or exists in your DOS
path, and that it has not been deleted, moved, or
renamed."
I checked the FTM help-section, and found the following:
"An item in the Scrapbook does not play as you expect, or
gives a message that the server couldn't be found:
OLE Server applications must "register" themselves with
Windows. Your OLE server may not be registered or
installed properly. Try reinstalling the server
application or consulting the server's manufacturer."
I tried using the "repair" function in Excel, but to no
avail.
Any help much appreciated!
Kind regards
