I can't find an answer to this in the archives. Below is an example of
a spreadsheet. This is list that will expand weekly.
I'd like the sum of all the numbers in column A where column B has the
word "owes". In this case the sum would be 10.
Currently I have an if statement for each row in column C (hidden),
then I total them up. But when new entries are made the formula in
column C is not alway added to the new line.

$10 paid
$5 paid
$5 owes
