Plug ins to access share market information using Excel on Macs

Hi, i am new to this so i hope i am not covering old ground.

I have access to a spread sheet that uses an add in automatically access share market information from Yahoo finance and returns it to the spread sheet. It can be customized so you can select which stocks and what data point you want to retrieve. Does any one know of an equivalent of mac. The one i access on windows based machines is from yahoo finance group and called
RCHGetYahooQuotes.xls
the add in required is
RCH_Stock_Market_Functions.zip

Would be great if i could use it or something similar on my mac

You probably can't use the addin on your mac because Excel 2008 does not
support VBA macros. However, Look into web queries, which work just fine on
the mac.

translating the VBA to AppleScript.
