Plugin for 11.1.1 update on Desktop

I've just downloaded the 11.1.1 Office 2004 update. The Microsoft
Component Plugin was downloaded to my desktop by Safari. If I move the

plugin from my desktop (desktop>applications>Microsof t 2004), none of
the applications will open. Entourage just ignores the open command.
Word gives a message that says "Microsoft Word cannot load the
Microsoft Office shared libraries. ..." When I move the plugin back to
my desktop, the problem is resolved. But I don't want the plugin
cluttering my desktop. Any suggestions?

If you Get Info on the Microsoft Component Plugin on the Desktop, what
vesion does it state it is? Is there also one in
desktop>applications>Microsoft Office 2004>Office? If you get info on that,
what version does it state it is?

The latter location is where the Microsoft Component Plugin is supposed to
live, but I wouldn't go replacing it without making sure it's the right
version -- the rest of the applications are _highly tied_ to the version of
Microsoft Component Plugin.
