Hi,
Our local lan clients use IE6 to connect to our webserver (we are using
webservices for mail merge).
They choose a template from a drop down list and the webserver dynamically
generates an xml file with data from a db. The xml is then automatically
opened with word2003 (it is embedded in ie6) so that our lan clients can
print and/or modify the xml file.
Everytime ie6/word2003 (this is done about 200 to 300 times a day) opens the
generated xml file, a very annoying dialog box appears:
"Do you want to open or save this file?"
Name: xyz.xml
Type: Microsoft Word Document, 44,3kb
from: ourserver
Open / Save / Cancel
How can we suppress this dialog box, so that the files are immediately
opened in word2003 and no confirmation is required?
thanks a lot
