Does Powerpoint 2004 improve graphic rendering of .png graphics files? In
v.X, the .png files look very grainy. In 2001, they look fine. Has version
2004 made any improvements?

YES (and my caps key is not stuck). There is finally transparency support for
..png in PPT 2004. .png graphics look gorgeous now :)))
That by itself makes upgrading to 2004 worth it for me. I realllllllyyyyy
needed it.

Thanks for letting me know. It's really nice to have the transparency
effects in Keynote now in Powerpoint. Hopefully, we'll be upgrading at
work soon.
