So, I created a whole bunch of PNGs with shadows and transparencies on
a Mac (Photoshop) and imported them from a PC into a (PC) PowerPoint
file. Everything looked fine on a number of desktop PC machines. Then
we send the file off to someone else and all the PNGs show up with
black boxes around them on their PC laptop. This happened on a second
PC laptop. It did not happen on a third PC laptop.
The problem happened whether or not Service Pack 2 was installed. All
PCs are running the most up to date PPT and Windows XP software.
Microsoft says Service Pack 2 should fix the problem, but as I said it
didn't seem to affect things. If it was a Macintosh color profile
issue (as I've read some places), then it should have affected all PC
machines equally, right?
We're pulling our hair out as to why it is working on some machines
and one laptop, but not all laptops...
Any thoughts?
