PNGs become blurry after pasting/loading into Visio Pro 2003

Hi, I'm using Visio Pro 2003 to annotate screen shots for a user guide.
The problem is that the screen shots become blurry for some reason, as if
they have been resized.

This occurs
* After pasting the screen shots directly into Visio
* After loading the saved PNG file into Visio.

In my screen capture software, Hypersnap, I have the dpi set to 96 (for
screen resolution). I have Visio set to display at 100%.

I've noticed this behaviour in Word occasionally, too.

Does anyone have any ideas on why this happens?

sounds like your pasting a bitmap image rather than a vector/raster image.
