can i run this by the technically minded to see if it will work before I
wreck my pcs.

I have a roaming profile at work which I can access on my desk and on my
tablet. I want to store notes in my network share so I can use them on both
tablet and pc.

Now, I want to sync my notes folder on my pcc to take home and thus I could
use my notes on my home desktop ?

would that work, I ask here as I will need to buy onenote unless their is a
viewer available ?

Yes, you can sync your My Notebook folder to your PocketPC to take home,
but you won't be able to actually access any of those files on the
PocketPC. Essentially your PocketPC is just a fancy flash drive at that
point - storage only. When you sync back to the regular PC at home your
PC at home will be able to open and access those OneNote files.

Your license allows you to install OneNote on 2 PCs. There isn't a
OneNote "viewer" per se though you could publish your OneNote notes as

WHAT ? I have been buying single licenses for this app !

Your license allows you to install OneNote on 2 PCs. There isn't a
OneNote "viewer" per se though you could publish your OneNote notes as
Single Page Web files and then view them in Internet Explorer.

It's really a single USER license. You can install it on 2 PCs if you're
the user of both PCs. The idea was for you to install it on one desktop
and one laptop/tablet. But realistically it also means you can install it
on a desktop at home and a desktop at the office.

What you can't do it install it on two machines, in neighboring cubicles,
used by different folks.
