have a point of sale interface which has the following
1. User Name / sales person textbox
2. SaleID text box which is an autonumber
3. A subform linked to the main form by the sale id
4. Sale date txtbox (Default system)
4. Command button which opens a form called payments where you input the
payment details
This is my problem I want all the textboxes on the main frm to be auto
updated so that the user just works on the subfrm where he/she selects the
items to sell ,all that is well except that the auto number field is not
moving to the next record until I manually update the date. Am putting the
code on the Print receipt cmd on the payment form . This command runs an
update query , prints a receipt and closes the payment form.It should also
make the auto number on the main form move to the next record because am not
using the record navigators because the form is a data entry only .Any help
coz I need The code Please
