Point seperate email profiles to recieve incoming email

I am using Outlook 2003 (part of MS Office 2003 SBE) and i have set up two
separate POP3/SMTP email accounts. I have set up also two separate .PST files
as data stores. I cannot successfully associate each email profile with each
..PST. I can successfully import other .PST data into either .PST and see it
displayed within Outlook, but all incoming emails appear in the default
profile only.

I also notice that when I run up Outlook, it asks me to log into both
profiles (I have password set) and it seems to conflict with what MS say
pertaining to only having only one mail profile running at a time. I can see
and aces both in a single Outlook instance.

I guess I can deal with this by using rules through this would only route
messages to folders and not data files (.PST).

Only one instance of Outlook can be running at a time, with a single profile. Outlook also has no login for individual profiles. It does, however, offer the option to set a password on a .pst file, which sounds like what you have done.

I get the feeling that

a) you have never set Outlook in Control Panel | Mail to prompt you for a profile

b) you have both .pst files set up in the current default profile.
