Pointing and Importing to New Contact Template

I have created a new contact template called "modified
contact" that I have been successful in 'saving
as', 'publishing' and creating the macro to convert all
the existing contacts to the new template. I am stumped
on two additional items. I am now ready to import my
personal contact information that I have maintained in MS
Access. When I get to the mapping part of the import
function, the only fields available to map to are what
appears to be Outlooks standard fields, which defeats the
purpose. How do I get the fields from my new contact
template to appear when mapping? My second quandry is
how in Address Book to get the new entry / new contact
option to point to my new contact template instead of
Outlook's standard contact template?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
