Poor performance in Excel 2007

Hi,
I am facing a very poor performance in Excel 2007. Some files I have (around
2.5 Mb each one) take almost 1 minute to open/close in Excel 2007, while in
Excel 2002 the same files take no more than 2-3 seconds.
Any idea?

Hi

Do you have Google Desktop and/or Google Search enabled on your machine.
If so, remove them as they seriously impact performance in Xl2007.

I have 2Gb RAM and around 5Gb hard disk free. Shouldn't it be enough?

Not all files. I have many new files, created in 2007, that open/close fine.
I made the following test: I created a new blank 2007 file, open the
"problematic" one and copy the sheets (around 15) one by one to the new 2007
file. The problem continues in the new file too. Then, I tried to copy sheets
separatelly, trying to isolate the problem. After each sheet, I closed/reopen
the file. But I didn't reach any conclusion; the file becomes slowly after
each sheet (it means, not a single/problematic sheet is causing the problem).
