Poor Quality jpg,gif & html

I have some business cards and short publications I want to put on my
website but when I save as .jpg or .gif or html the quality is terrible -
much worse
than the diaplayed or printed .pub document. What am I doing wrong?

When you insert a picture instead of clicking on the insert button, click on
the arrow pointing down (right beside it) and choose LINK TO FILE...this will
give you much better quality pictures on your website.

I am in Publisher doing a Save As. What Insert button are you referring to?
What dropdown arrow?
