poorly formated quotations in plain (compatible) text mail reply

When outlook is configured for plain text (compatible) mail messages
its produces amazingly poor format for quotated original message. I
was shocked that it did this when it first came out and quite amazed
to upgrade to outlook 2003 and find that this still has not been fixed - for
example.

Original message:

bla blaw bla blaw bla bla vlaw bla blaw vla blaw bla blaw bla blaw blaw
bla blaw bla blaw bla bla vlaw bla blaw vla blaw bla blaw bla blaw blaw

Quotated orginal with "> " inserted (by outlook) before each line:

bla blaw bla blaw bla bla vlaw bla blaw vla blaw bla blaw bla blaw
blaw
bla blaw bla blaw bla bla vlaw bla blaw vla blaw bla blaw bla blaw
blaw
