POP emails don't show up in Entourage with the right timestamp

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel
Email Client: pop

When I get emails from my Gmail account, the timestamps on the emails are from when the email got sent to Entourage, not the time that the email was received in my Gmail account. Is there any way to change this?

While the main window is active, click on View in the menu bar, then Arrange
By and choose Sent (instead of Received) from the list that shows up.
