I just bought a new laptop (with Vista) and needed to repop my gmail into my
new Outlook acct. There were a year and a half of emails (about 8,000) to pop.
The popping began all right, but the outlook hung (stopped receiving) at
about after the first 3,000. I had to delete all the mails in Outlook and
restart. Then it hung after about downloading 4,000 and so on. After five
attempts, I've gotten it to download all the mails up until 2 weeks ago. It
now tells me that the send/receive is complete as if there are no more mails
to download.
Any suggestions as to how I can get Outlook to start finding the rest of the
emails? Or is the problem on the Gmail server side? On the Gmail side I don't
have the option of setting the date at which I'd like to forward to Outlook
(unless I delete everything in Gmail before that date). And I'd like to keep
my Gmail on my server. Thanks
