I'm using Outlook 2003 to talk to an in-house POP/SMTP server (happens to be running Linux). The server collects all of our email from our ISM and distributes it
Outlook keeps asking for my username and password, which I enter correctly, but then doesn';t seem to like them and keeps asking for it
In examining the logs of the POP server, I find the username isn't being sent clearly - here's a log excerpt
Dec 6 15:48:37 slave ipop3d[1780]: pop3 service init from 192.168.1.
Dec 6 15:48:37 slave ipop3d[1780]: Command stream end of file while reading line user=??? host=[192.168.1.1
192.168.1.1 ius my workstation, and 192.168.1.250 is the mail server
Any ideas if I have foobar'd something in Outlook ???
