POP Server Error on 2003

I configured Outlook 2003 to link to my Comcast email
account, which is a POP3 account. I can send messages
without a problem, but I can't download messages from
comcast to Outlook. When I click Send / Receive, I get
an error stating that the connection to the server was
interrupted, or that the connection timed out. I am on
broadband so this shouldn't be a problem, but it happens
every time before any messages are downloaded. Any
suggestions?
