POP & SMTP address names

I am attempting to connect Outlook 97 to a dsl modem. The
names the service gives for incoming and outgoing mail
servers do not work.

I was advised to check with Microsoft to get the correct
names but the help page I found doesn't give me anything I
can use.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

smtp and pop are specific to yr ISP provider.
Does their site not have a help section for setting up email?
