pop up comments in Word document

No MS Word newsgroups at-all on msnews.microsoft.com - where they
gone????????????

I need to include pop up comments in Word document

Have included the comments but they just sit there on the page and dont "pop
up" on mouse over (which i understand is default behavior)

Any clues????

Do you have ScreenTips enabled (Tools | Options | View)?

The closing of the microsoft.public news server was announced numerous times
on all the NGs for several weeks.

Screentips are enabled by default (on 21 computers) - not sure whether
screentips should be on/off but switched them off now but comments still sit
there

Maybe i dreamed it - I thought comments "popped up" by default on mouse
over - it will have to do as it is - no worries - thanks anyway

Well, it varies from one version to another. In versions that use
"balloons," you won't see a popup for comments unless you (a) have balloons
disabled or (b) are in Normal/Draft view.

There is a bug in Word 2002 that causes footnote ScreenTips not to be
displayed; see "WD2002: Footnote ScreenTip May Not Be Displayed" at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318865. I don't know whether the same
would affect comments or not.
