pop up reminder in public folders?

Hi,
I am using Outlook 2003 for my calendars but have set up a number of shared
calendars on the SBS2K3 server that are viewed through the Public Folders
icons on the outlook folder list. Is there any way that when the calendar is
copied to the favorites folder I can get the pop up reminders to work?
If not, is there a way that I can have a calendar where that does work but
all the amendments can be copied to the shared calendar? Sorry if that is a
bit complicated.
