Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: intel

This morning each time I try to open a word or excel file, I get the following pop-up:

'Microsoft Office 2004 cannot start because microsoft office is already in use.
An office program is being used by Joseph Brajkovich. Your installation exceeds the number of installations permitted by the licensing agreement. Click more information to lear about Microsoft Office Licensing.'

My copy is legitimate and has worked for over 6 months. This only change to my IMCA is that I installed an upgrade to Checkbook pro (also legitimate copy).

Any Ideas??!!

Thanks,

Joseph

Are you using wireless? Anyone close by that could be accessing your
network?

Test Office in a new User to eliminate problems in your Users folder.

Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the
New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. Test Office there.
