Make sure you are running Visio in developer mode which allows you access
to the shapesheet. Select the Visio object then right mouse click and open
the shapesheet. Once the shapesheet opens right mouse click on it and
place a check mark in the miscellaneous section, this will display this
section when the shapesheet is opened for this object. Under the
miscellaneous section locate the comment cell. Enter the desired text in
this field, it will display for a certain amount of time when the mouse
pointer is placed over the object.

Is there a way to make a pop-up window appear, when the mouse is hovered
over
an object in a drawing? What I want, is for the product description to
appear next to the object when I move my mouse over the object. This could
be taken from the custom properties.
I've seen some information on data graphics and callouts, but do not see
anything about the information only showing when the mouse hovers over the
object.
This is for Visio 2007 Pro
