XLlobet
Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel All my files are in .xls format (Excel 97-2004), and it is my default format in the Preferences Compatibility panel.
I have taken one file and made some modifications (basically replacing some 2009 dates by 2010 ones). When trying to save it, I have the pop-up window with the message
"Some content in [filename].xls may not be saved because it is not compatible with the Excel 97-2004 Workbook (.xls) file format. Do you still want to save the workbook in this format?
To save the workbook in a new format and preserve all content, click No, and then on the Format pop-up menu, click Excel Workbook (.xlsx). To save the workbook in the current format and remove all incompatible content, click Yes."
I click "Yes", the file gets saved, supposedly without the "incompatible content", whatever it is. But when I save it again, with or without modifications, the same pop-up window appears. And agin, and again,...
How can I get rid of this pesky pop-up window? It is plainly wrong.
