Pop ups aren't getting blocked in Office Xp.

I'm having some trouble with Office XP. Every since I installed it (OS is
Windows XP), my pop up blocker isn't working and I've even had programs
downloaded to my computer without my consent or knowledge. The blocker is
turned on as well as the msn toolbar blocker - nothing is working. Any help
would be greatly appreciated!

Office XP should have no impact on pop-ups. I would recommend that
you download and run spybot
(http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/) or ad-aware
(http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) to clean you box from
spyware that can block add blockers. I would also recommend that you
make sure that you have a firewall and antivirus solution installed.

Have you considered a firewall? A popup blocker will only help prevent
popups. If programs that you didn't install are appearing on your
computer then you need another method of protection.
