Pop ups to announce the arrival of a new message

How do you configure outlook to give you a popup to announce the arrival of a
new message?

You don't state your version. For OL 2003, click Tools>Options>E-mail
Options>Advanced E-mail Options and check the box labeled "Show a New Mail
Desktop Alert".
