How can I stop the pop-ups that are coming in from
microsoft messenger.I have tried different pop-up blockers
and they don't work.

This is not related to Microsoft Office. What you need to do is install
a firewall to block the ports the spammers are using. In the Meantime
you can stop them from getting to the Screen by stopping the Messenger
Service and switching it to Manual in Services under Administrative
Tools in Control Panel. But GET a firewall.
