Is there a way to have an alternative POP3 / SMTP address in outlook?
We have a 2003 Exchange Server that some users access via pop3 on their
laptops. When they are in the office the exchange server has an internal
pop3 address. When they are external they can't access the internal IP
address and need to use a public IP address that fowards port 25 to the
exchange server. When we put the external IP address in the outlook client
when the laptop is internal the connection to the exchange server fails. Is
there a way to put an alternative address in? Do I need to do an internal
route to make this work correctly?
