POP3 and SMTP servers not checked even though "Send/Receive" compl

Vince Jacobi

Greetings. I am running Outlook 2002 SP3 with all updates installed on a PC
running Windows XP Professional SP2. Messages are neither send or received.
All messages I send remain in the Outbox. When I click "Send/receive", I'm
able to see the "Outlook Send/Receve Progress" window indicating "1 of 1
Tasks have completed successfully" with a green check next to the account
name, Progress "Completed". Nothing appears within the "Errors" tab.

OPMLog.log reveals the following:

2005.03.30 18:30:03 <<<< Logging Started (level is LTF_TRACE) >>>>

I've already tried I've tried inbox repair tool on the .PST file (no
problems found). I created a new .PST file and changed delivery of new mail
to that .PST file . I also tried creating a new profile (MIcrosoft Article
312354), disabling Windows firewall, disabling Computer Associates eTrust
EZArmor antivirus as well as all of the Plug-ins from within Outlook
(including the Computer Associates eTrust EZArmor Antispam). I didn't
install any 3rd party firewall.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Adding to my thread here, I corrected some grammatical stuff below and add
the following information:

* I tried changing the server values to both the incoming POP3 and outgoing
SMTP servers to bogus values of "vince" that doesn't resolve to anything here
and the results of the send/receive still report "completed successfully."

Thanks!
