Hi, I would like to find out if it is possible to write Macros or VBA to
populate MS Project (Standard) by using SQL on our corporate database.

Hi Dale

It is the standard MS Project I was referring to, not the Server
version. Can I use still use SQL to download the project data from our
corporate database and populate the MS Project. If yes, could you
please show me some sample codes.

Thanks
Hon

My answer WAS for Microsoft Project and NOT for Project Server. If you
purchase the book I referenced, you will find code samples. Hope this
helps.

Hi Dale

I thought you were refering to the server as the first book I saw on
that page was about the server.

As I have very limited time to prove to the manager that SQL can indeed
be used to populate the MS Project, could you possibly post some
examples for me to work with. How about security? Could I authenticate
users against our corporate database using the details from Active
Directory?

Thanks

No one is going to write the VBA code for you. If you need code samples, I
would suggest you post your question in the
microsoft.public.project.developer newsgroup to see if anyone will help you
there. Hope this helps.
