populate multiple fields based on input keyed into one field

Andrzej

I've got a form letter set up where one of the fields is
going to be completed by users with a name. Then, the
name needs to repeat several times throughout the letter
and I wanted to populate those fields automatically rather
than having the user type the name every time they hit the
appropriate form field. I thought that I'd use a macro on
entry so that as soon as the user hits the name field it
gets completed automatically based on the name that had
been keyed in in the first name field. I can't seem to be
able to write the correct macro to get this done.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Andrzej,

In the other locations, insert a cross reference to the text of the bookmark
that is assigned to the first formfield and in the Properties dialog for
that formfield, check the Calculate on exit box as that will cause the cross
references to be updated with the information that is entered into the
formfield.

Please respond to the newsgroups for the benefit of others who may be
interested.

Hope this helps
