populating a Word table with info from Excel

J

jefe

I have a 6 column Word table and a 4 column Excel sheet.
I need to be able to copy the data in the excel sheet into
the first 4 columns of the Word table.
Is there anyway to do that withou copying 1 cell at a time
and pasting?

Thanks

Hi jefe,

Select the area in Excel, let's say 32 cells (8 rows x 4 columns), then in
Word, before pasting, select the same area (i.e. 8x4 in your Word table, or
32 cells), otherwise you will end up with a nested table.
