Populating repeating tables from database????

Can anyone help?

I have a repeating table which has 6 columns. I need to populate two of the
columns from an existing database.

The problem is not linking the database to individual dropdowns, I've got
that. I need to be able to select an item from a drop down list (column 3)
and have the other data that goes along with it put into a different column.

An example is say I have a database of the Florida Crimes and the statute
numbers that go with them. In my repeating table I need to be able to have
the officer select a crime by name and have the statute number that goes with
it automatically entered into the column next to it.
