Populating Timesheet Manager after Migration from 2003

R

Ruth Halbach

We are migrating to Project Server 2007 from 2003 and noticed that the
Timesheet Manger defaults to the name of the resource. We have this
information available to us in Active Directory, but see no option to map any
data. We have about 1500 resources and want to avoid doing this manually if
at all possible. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks, Ruth Halbach

Ruth:

There is no way to do this without some coding, to create your own extended
AD-synch. Before you contemplate this, make sure that all of the data you
may anticipate needing is stored in AD, and that there isn't a better more
complete source for resource data.

Thanks Gary. Can you refer me to anyplace for examples of updating the
resource information from an outside source?
