popup closures from illegal act?

i have ms2000pro. in my other loaded programs, a popup
states "this program has committed an illegal act and is
closing down" then it's gone. this act is random... what
is happening? how do i stop this? these are purchased
programs...not copies...and loaded according to directions.

It's not clear from your description what's happening. Is the pop-up in your
"other loaded programs" (whatever they may be), or in Office programs? Does
the pop-up have anything in the title bar?

Are you up to do date with Office 2000 service packs, and have you checked
your system for viruses and scumware (e.g. using AdAware or SpyBot)?
