Popup message from Access2000 even though runing in the background!

Hi

When using outlook2000 its possible to get noticed when an email has been
received. Even though Outlook isn't the active window it will popup with a
message like "Email received". In my Access2000 program each user is going
to ping the mssql server each 5. minute and if changes has occured, I want
the one that pinged the server to get noticed about the change, even though
his Access program is running in the background. How do I take control so
that a window will popup this way?
