I use OUTLOOK at work. I get a pop-up occasionally with MIcrosoft Outlook on
its header. The statement reads:
"A program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in OUTLOOK.
Do you want to allow this? If this is unexpected it may be a virus and you
should choose NO." There are options in check boxes that state: Allow access
for (1 minute; 2 minutes; 5 minutes and 10 minutes. and an option to ALLOW?
YES/NO/Help. (Help doesn't do anything but state my options (AGAIN!!)

Does ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS??

This is a built security function of Outlook. The answer would depend on
whether or not you have setup another program to access your Outlook. An
example would be a third party Fax program using the Address book or a
Resource Calendar using the Outlook calendar. If you do not have or know of
any third party tools then select No. If not sure and you are at work then
check with your IT department as they may know. Could also check Outlook in
the add-ins under Tools and Options to see if any programs are listed there
that have been loaded.

Since I don't know what you have installed on your computer, I would say,
answer no. Basically you will need to do a little investigation to find out
what is triggering the dialog. For example, do you own a PDA? Do you have
programs that access Outlook data or try to send mail on your behalf?
