Popup questions

Hi all...

Learning about doing DHTML popups, for menuing and to replace
the auto-thumbnail feature in FP. Two questions:

-- Can I apply an alpha filter to a popup window? Uh, I'm thinking,
but nothing's happening!

-- Do popup blockers disable all popup windows, or mostly those
attached to onload events (as I seem to have heard)?

Thanks!

With Windows XP SP2, it will be any popup that is not user triggered, by clicking on a hyperlink,
etc.

I'm already there, dude! I was talking about the DHTML popup window itself.
You can apply a filter to an HTML element contained in the popup, through
DHTML or through a style, but I'd like the popup itself to have some
transparency.

Can't help you any further this filter issue, plus it is only support in IE, so it is something I
would never do.
Works for me...except that I'm curious about how the events are chained.
Probably beyond the scope of this newgroup (but you guys are so
on top of things why not ask, eh?), but if a user clicks a link (generates
an onclick event, for example), and my event handler creates a popup
through a sub-procedure, that would still be OK (hope so)?

You would have to test this after install SP2 with it default settings.
