Popup report does not show menu

Hi all,

I have a report which needs to be a popup report. However, if I set the
popup property to true, the menu attached to the report is not showing.

On the other hand, when calling a popup form, the attached menu does show.

Any ideas please?

Thanks,

Joep

I notice that when set as a popup that the report is also no longer and MDI
window, instead it opens maximized to the full screen. This appears to be as
designed. I suspect that you don't get the menu because the window is no
longer a child window inside the Access window. What are you trying to
accomplish by making the report a popup?

I show that a form behaves the same way except it doesn't maximize itself.
However, the standard forms toolbar is not displayed and the form can be
dragged outside the Access window.

Thanks Wayne for your update.
I will explain the background. The application has a background form tha is
always visible. On this background form, a outlook style launch bar is
implemented. However, if one clicks a button on the launch bar, the
background form gets to the foreground.

Workaround for this is that all forms and reports will launched with popup
is true. The drawback for this is that the custom report menu is no longer
visible.

Cheers,

What happens if you set Popup to False and Modal to True. This will force
the user to use the form or report just opened, which may not be what you
want. You may also try having the newly opened form or report set focus to
itself.

Wayne,

Thanks for your reply again.
I need to find out another solution because I just found out that the
menuoptions are not even enabled when the form is popup.
