Portfolio Admin Password expires every 2 days

We are new to ProjectServer/SharePoint/Portfolio. Portfolio Server was
installed a couple of weeks ago and every two days we receive a message that
says the Admin password has expired and needs to be reset. What controls this
setting?

Pam, is this a Portfolio Server message or a windows loggon message? Check
with your IT guys if this is set for the user using windows loggon.
Let me know
Thanks
Marc

Marc,
It is a Portfolio Server message; we're using the 'Admin' account that was
created after the initial install. The software has been set up to use
Windows logon yet unfortunately.

Thanks,
Pam

Hi Pam,

can you please ask your IT department to check what the password expriation
is set up for, for your user. I just want to make sure that this message is
not beacuse of the user exprieration whithin the windows account :)
Thanks
Marc

The password expiration in Portfolio Server can be changed using the Account
Management link in Settings. It can only be accessed with the "superuser"
login that was created during installation. The Account Management link is
the only setting that the "superuser" has available and is used for setting
up other instances (accounts) of Portfolio Server within the same
installation.

Hope this helps - Brian

Hi Marc,
I actually work in IT; our Windows passwords are set up to change every 90
days.
