Portfolio Analyzer + Outline Codes

Hi every one,

Im really really confused here. Im trying to push as much
information as I can into Portfolio Analyzer so the
executives in our company can see a summary of all the
information in one view. I understand if you create custom
outline codes, they will show up as fields on Portfolio
analyzer, but I dont understand how Im supposed to do
this. For example if I want to show Millstones in
Portfolio analyzer how do I add it to the custom outline
codes? Or if I want to create a view in Portfolio analyzer
that shows an overview of projects and the problem areas,
the deadlines, and other information in it? In general I
would like to push as much data as I can into Portfolio
analyzer that shows a complete view of how things are
going.

I would very much appreciate any help,
Atila

Make sure you are creating the information you would like to store in the Enterprise Outline Codes and not just the Outline Codes

Enterprise Outline codes require pre-population but when you build the OLAP Cube and then go into the Portolio Analyzer, you will see these Enterprise Outline Codes and will be able to drag and drop them into a new or existing view

Thank you
Rya

Atila:

The type of customization you're talking about requires custom coding.
Enterprise Project and Resource outline codes show up in the analyzer as
dimensions. The type of data you want to display are facts. There is no
automated mechanism to push data like this to the cube. You might ask why?
Because the analyzer is meant to analyze data that can be totalled along
various dimensions. Perhaps you should consider a database reporting tool
such as Crystal Reports.
