Portfolio Modelling

I have read a bit about Portfolio Modelling from the documentation provided
by Microsoft and have also read books where the concept is touched upon.
Having looked at Portfolio Modelling I am trying to fully appreciate its
relevance and application - does anyone have any real life experience in
exploiting this feature and benefiting from the outputs?

Is there a quick and easy way to apply the suggestions from a model to
projects?
