Portfolio Server 2007 issue after installation.

Hi all

I have just installed Portfolio Server 2007. Here you are my
configuration:

- Project server 2007 and Portfolio server 2007 installed in the same
box (2 different iis website)
- SQL 2005 installed in a separate box

when I try to open the portfolio server home page, I get the following
error:

"Cannot open database "PPSAccountIndex" requested by the login. The
login failed. "

how can I solve it????

what I'm doing wrong???

Vit,
I don't know. I am getting this error as well. I can tell you that my SQL
Server logs tell me a machine account from my Portfolio Server is failing to
log in.

Hi Ion,

The way to iron out this issue is to add your installation 'Service account'
/ Machine ID (for example Domain\PPSServerName$) in your SQL Server Users
Group and also add the same in the MOSS / WSS - Central Administration -
Application Management - Configure other services in the farm - and set the
option 2.

You should be smooth sailing after this -
