Portfolio Server Import Errors

Curious if anyone has experience determining any root causes for
import errors when importing projects from Project Server through the
Gateway in Portfolio Server.

While some messages spell out the error (e.g. usually when
invalid dates are involved) some like "General Unhandled Exception
Error" do not offer much to go on. I also got one related to NULL
value in the Assignments table. I've been under suspicion that this
could be due to a task containing double or single quotes. But still
tracking this one down. Ideas?

I had similar issues, tasks with special characters have been a problem for
me. I also installed the SP1 for PPS and that has fixed A LOT of errors.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I got this one figured out.
Apparently, the import process does not take too kindly to assignments
with 0% units. If you insert the Assignment Units column in a Task/
Resource Usage view and see any assignments with 0% this will (at
least in my experience) cause the "NULL value in the Assignments
table" issue.
