Portrait changing into landscape when copying

H

Heidi Santaera

We have a document which has the first page set up in
portrait, a section break and then the second page is set
up in landscape.

When this text is copied & pasted, the landscape page is
reset to portrait.

We are using WordXP

Many Thanks

The definition of the section (orientation, margins, headers and footers) is
'contained' in the final paragraph mark of the section. If you don't include
that when you copy, all you get is the text itself. Pasting the text won't
reformat the section you paste into.

Heidi,

If your second (i.e., last) page is set for landscape
orientation, you must copy the final paragraph mark
with the text to maintain the orientation. That mark
is essentially a section break, the character that
stores all section-level information about the section
preceding it (in this case your second page).

Does this help?
